Boating at the log cabin and more sunsets

The skipper at the bow.

Here is an oar Daddy!!!

Train bridge...what more needs to be said.

Driving (obviously not quite ready for a car yet).

Ryan was using the little end of this rope as a "fire hose". He kept spraying the fire out. (you can also see how low the lake is)

He was so content to just sit and watch the water go by.

Determined to get the sunset picture from the living room...

Vacation at the Log Cabin! Playground and Sunsets

We started our whirlwind vacation at my parents' log "cabin" in the Smoky Mountains. The first day we drove over to Cherokee to find the little amusement park - only to find out that it has been shut down - ack! Never fear, we found a playground for Ryan to run around on.
Ryan and Daddy talking to each other through the tubes...

Grandpa kept asking (maybe telling?) Ryan not to go on this Wobbly Bridge...

you can see how much Ryan listened.

Here's Ryan and Grandma - Ryan is riding a "fish". Apparently Ryan seems to pick up a southern "twang" when we go to the cabin, and for the rest of the week he was calling Grandma, "gray-maw" - I have never laughed so hard - I will have to try to get it on video.

Sean was convinced a picture of the sunset through the living room would be a great shot - it's pretty good, but as you can see below, I think the shots from outside are better.

DeSoto Days

ahhh....the infamous red car. Ryan has been looking forward to this RED car for a whole year.

We watch this video frequently (scroll to the bottom of the post), so no other car would do.

Ryan's best friend, Brayden joined in on the fun
