Vacation at the Log Cabin! Playground and Sunsets

We started our whirlwind vacation at my parents' log "cabin" in the Smoky Mountains. The first day we drove over to Cherokee to find the little amusement park - only to find out that it has been shut down - ack! Never fear, we found a playground for Ryan to run around on. Ryan and Daddy talking to each other through the tubes...
Grandpa kept asking (maybe telling?) Ryan not to go on this Wobbly Bridge...

Here's Ryan and Grandma - Ryan is riding a "fish". Apparently Ryan seems to pick up a southern "twang" when we go to the cabin, and for the rest of the week he was calling Grandma, "gray-maw" - I have never laughed so hard - I will have to try to get it on video.

Sean was convinced a picture of the sunset through the living room would be a great shot - it's pretty good, but as you can see below, I think the shots from outside are better.

ahhh....the infamous red car. Ryan has been looking forward to this RED car for a whole year.

We watch this video frequently (scroll to the bottom of the post), so no other car would do.

A new lifejacket

Ryan finally outgrew the infant lifejacket - so it was off to the store to get a new one for our vacation. Ryan paraded around the store with it on, much to the amusement of all moms and store employees. Here he is modeling it at home

"I'm a baseball man"

Ryan wanted to try his hand at baseball this weekend, so we used his birthday money to get him his first bat, ball and tee.

We have discovered the Sprout show "Fireman Sam" - Ryan is hooked! He found his boots in the closet and plays "Fireman Ryan"

Ryan and Grammy and Papa planted this tree when we moved to this house 2 years ago. Ryan had just turned one when it was planted, so he gets his picture by it every year.
